Klong bang luang

Bang Luang Floating Market, the enchanting charm of an old community along the Bangkok Yai Canal in the Thonburi area, offers a classic atmosphere and easy access. It's located close to Model Thai Style, just across the street and down Soi Phetkasem 20.

Inside the market, you'll find a community of semi-two-story wooden buildings (some old, some renovated) lining the banks of the Bang Luang Canal. The market features souvenir shops, restaurants, a barbershop, vintage-style cafes, and a community exhibition showcasing various antiques. There are also activities like beading, drawing, and other fun things to do, with plenty of photo opportunities.

The atmosphere along the walking route of Bang Luang Floating Market is delightful. Although it can be a bit hot, a breeze keeps things comfortable. The markets standout feature is its nostalgic, classic vibe. Activities like painting at the Artist's House, exploring rare antiques at the House of Toys, beading in your own style at the Home of Artists, and feeding fish along the way make it a truly enjoyable experience. The walkways and surrounding area are beautifully adorned with classic murals, making every step a pleasure.
